Talk about things you thought you'd never see!

Watched the first two discs in the "Best of The Dean Martin Variety Show" DVD set I got via UPS today. Never thought I'd see Dean Martin, Jimmy Stewart, and Orson Welles, all in wigs with curlers in them, singing a musical number. Also never thought I'd see Jack Benny, two years before his death, making jokes about sex. Or Andy Griffith trying to explain the "birds and the bees" to his son, played by Dean in a sketch.

The next four discs in this set are promising! The bonus interviews with guest stars on the first two discs are very informative also.

Granted, the episodes aren't "complete", but some musical rights can be a bitch, no thanks to the RIAA and ASCAP...
