Prove It, or Go to School...

When the boy came home from school yesterday afternoon, he was trying to tell me he didn't have to go the rest of the week, because they wouldn't be counting the alternative school students absent. I asked him if he had a note stating that, and he didn't. He said one of his teachers "told" him he didn't have to come the rest of the week. I asked Andrew couldn't the teacher have written a note? He said the teacher told him he'd get "in trouble" with the school board if he wrote a note... which to me, made no freggin' sense whatsoever!

Anywho, I told him, unless I have something DEFINATIVE, like either a note, or phone call from someone at the school, he'd be going the rest of the week. His bus was right on time to pick him up this morning, but it also picks up students for the high school.

The years school schedule I printed out at the beginning of the school year doesn't say anything about students being out this week, and IF, on the offchance they were letting some students stay home, just seems to me they would have informed the parents somehow. With Andrew's past record of fibbing, I'm not going to believe it until I have concrete PROOF!
