Yet more bad weather, from yet another hurricane...

At work today, I took my lunch out to my truck as usual to listen to downloaded podcasts while I eat. Wind has been picking up most of the day (still is). A little after 2pm, while I was out in the truck, a HUMONGOUS downpour started, which lasted around 10 minutes. It rained so hard, I couldn't even see the light poles on the parking lot, or the nursing home next door! All I saw was a white sheet of rain!

On the way home this evening, my truck swayed back and forth at the stop lights from the wind. The worst part is just now coming into northeast Louisiana as I type this. Looks like we'll be caught in one of the outer bands of what's left of Hurricane Ike...
