Random Thoughts

A girl I got along well with when working together at Burger King years ago has started working at the Wal-Mart I work at, in the garden center. We talk nearly every time we run into each other. After she left Burger King in the late '90's, we pretty much lost contact until now. That said... given the opportunity then, I would have "hit it". Given the opportunity now, I'd still "hit it"!

Five customers at work yesterday asked me about "Reddi Whip" (the whipped cream in a can). I need to ask the department manager about it today, if I remember. We were out of all varieties when I left work Sunday evening, came back to work yesterday, noticed the space for that product was occupied by something else. Department manager had left for the day by the time I noticed (after the first customer asked). Surely we aren't discontinuing canned whipped cream (even though we do not have ALL three brands we were carrying, including the "store brand")! It's a popular product!

A couple of people in China are suing CNN for 1.3 billion dollars for something commentator Jack Cafferty said, saying his remarks "violated the dignity and reputation of the Chinese people.". Cafferty said the United States imported Chinese-made "junk with the lead paint on them and the poisoned pet food" and added: "They're basically the same bunch of goons and thugs they've been for the last 50 years." Personally, I see nothing inaccurate in his statements. He was just stating facts! There.... so sue me.

I'll be working 1-10pm today... blah! Gotta remember to pick up coffee before coming home this evening!
