How To Waste 5 Hours...

Yesterday, for the first time, I attempted to make a "video CD". I transfered a videotape to the hard drive, converted the .avi to mpeg1, and used Easy CD Creator to burn the CD, making sure I had everything on the computer shut down except the necessary programs. After all that, I now have another shiny new drink coaster! The audio portion turned out perfect, but the video was choppy as hell! My guess is, this ol' computer just isn't fast enough for that much processing...
