One Busy Day!

Here it is nearly 7:30pm in the evening, and I am just now getting "settled down" for the day. After getting Andrew on the bus for school this morning, I washed the dishes, did some laundry, took out the trash, and sat in front of the 'puter for a very short time. Around 12:30 this afternoon, I drove up to the school to check Andrew out for the day, so he could see his psychiatrist at the 1:45 appointment. After leaving there, we went to "Super 1 Foods" and did some grocery shopping. After we got home and I got the groceries put away, I noticed the light on the phone was blinking, so I played the message. It was Terry, the personnel director at Wal-Mart, wanting to know if I was still interested in a job. I called her back, and she asked how soon I could get there.

At that point, since my mom next door had already made it home from work, I sent Andrew over there, and went straight to Wal-Mart. They still had my records from last time I was there, but still ran me through an interview process with three people... two interviewers, and the store manager. The store manager couldn't find one form that he said the interviewers should have had me sign, so he asked could I come back tomorrow, since Terry had already gone on her break. So, I go back in the morning to sign that form, and will be going for my drug test. According to the manager, as long as my new background check and drug test go well (all they'll find in the latter is lots of caffiene, I'm a coffee/tea-aholic), I've got a job. It'll be a "cart pusher", but that will give me a good excuse to work off this extra weight I've been gaining! Not sure what shift I'll be on though, but mom said she'll help me work out something with Andrew.

Now... since I haven't eaten anything yet today, I'm shutting down the 'puter for the night, going to fix myself something to eat, and park myself in front of the television for a couple of hours, before dozing off for the night.
