I just "broke my silence" and called in to Leo Laporte's KFI tech radio show with a question. Been watching and listening to him since the ZDTV days in 1998, and this is the first time I've called with a question. I asked would there be any "long-term" effects on my computer monitor by having a 13" TV sitting on the desk next to it, because when the TV is on, I get a light semi-transparent line going down the monitor screen. He said it was probably just magnetic interference, or electrical noise, and shouldn't damage the monitor in the long run.
