How Sad Is This?

I had been still having the problem with the lower channels on my cable getting "fuzzy" occassionally even after two visits from the cable company. About a week ago, I do my own "experimentation", without calling them. The input coaxial cable going into the box had a rather long "center wire" sticking out from within the F-connector, so I trim it down to a "little bit below" the height of the connector, so it doesn't extend outward. Picture has been perfect constantly since then. I think I solved the problem, no thanks to the "boneheads" at Time Warner....
