Guess it's a good thing I'm transferring those old cassette recordings my friends and I made back in the 1980's to compact disc...I transferred a couple "Orbit's Independent Sampler" recordings this morning, had to stop the tape more than once to clean the metal oxide that came off the cassette off the tape head. End of the Q-Tip was almost brown from the stuff! A lot of the tapes we recorded on back then were of a "cheap" variety...and most are nearly 20 years old now...
