The Bible In Six Parts

Completed the digitization of the next five episodes of Tape and Record Show Enterprises flagship series "The Tape and Record Show" this evening. Most of the content of this batch of episodes was audio from the broadcast TV network airing of the 1966 film "The Bible: In the Beginning..." with John Houston, split among four half hour "Tape and Record Show" episodes and the final two parts on the longer Saturday episode.

The sound quality for the audio of the film is TERRIBLE. Then again, it sounded worse than usual even after I first recorded it from the TV speaker. Not sure if there was a conflict with the monophonic cassette recorder and the TV that evening, or if I just got a "bad" three-pack of those cheap Certron brand blank cassettes. I've "cleaned up" the bad audio as much as possible with the software I have for the digital version, but it's still terrible.

Episode 92 has everything I wrote on the original "broadcast" index card in 1979, but only runs around 75 minutes total, instead of the usual hour or hour and a half for a "weekend episode". Also, being my memory is a tad "shady" after all these decades, I'm trying to remember HOW I peeled the Certron labels off the cassettes, TYPED the titles onto the label with mom's old manual Underwood typewriter, and got the label to securely stick back onto the cassette housing. The "date stamp" for the original off air recording date is easy... I DO remember having an ink based stamping thingy for that around that time.
