Can't Decide Which Was Worse, Memorex or BASF

The two episodes of "Paul's Country Corral" I digitized from the old tapes this evening were on a "BASF LH-E I" normal bias cassette. As with some of our other old Tape & Record Show Enterprises "broadcasts" on Memorex tapes, the BASF brand was also "muffled and bassy" in sound quality. Luckily, I never bought many of either brand. Most of our old recordings used TDK, Maxell, or Sony cassettes, which all had better "high fidelity" than Memorex or BASF. Luckily, I can clear up SOME of the sound issues with the audio cleaning software.

Contents of the two episodes transferred this evening, as written on the original "broadcast" index cards...

"Paul's Country Corral: Episode 12. Broadcast Wednesday, April 30, 1986 at 8:00pm central. Theme Music: Soul to Soul(Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble). Songs: Lost My Baby Blues(David Frizell), My Baby Don't Slow Dance(Johnny Lee), Freaking At The Freakers Ball(Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show), Werewolves of London(Warren Zevon), You're No Good(Linda Ronstadt), and Simple Twist of Fate(Bob Dylan).

Paul's Country Corral: Episode 13. Broadcast Wednesday, May 7, 1986 at 8:00pm central. Theme Music: Soul to Soul(Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble). Songs: Gypsy's In The Palace(Jimmy Buffet), New Orleans Lady(Louisiana's LaRoux), She Woke Me Up To Say Goodbye(Jerry Lee Lewis), Fool In the Mirror(John McKuen), and You Still Got a Place In My Heart(George Jones)."

Paul Morrison made a comment in the 12th episode saying "A werewolf drinking a Piña Colada, it'll never happen". Well, now, who's to say it COULDN'T happen? As strange as things on this planet have been getting lately, NOTHING would surprise me!
