Hospital Procedure Procedural

Hospital called to tell me what time to be there for my procedure in the morning. The usual 6:00am (a couple of times it has been 8:00am). They said the front entrance wouldn't be open that early like it normally would be (because they now currently open it at 7am with a "checkpoint" in place), so for tomorrow's procedure, to go to the ER entrance and tell them what I'm there for, and then I'd come up to the second floor where the procedure always takes place.

Also this time, mom won't be sticking around, since they aren't allowing "visitors" currently. She'll drop me off, come back home, and return to pick me up after the procedure/recovery time.

Ignore Previous Post

Well SHIT. I'm already having to eat tiny bites, got a call earlier that my procedure was going to be in the morning, after it was delayed once already because they wanted to run a CT scan after they saw something odd on an x-ray. Just got another call from the hospital. Apparently I'm now going to be scheduled for a COVID-19 test sometime Monday (they are going to call back to tell me the time), and my esophageal dilation won't be done until sometime after that, after they get the results.

At this rate, by the time I get the dilation done, I'll be back to only being able to swallow Ensure shakes, or even less than that. I really wish Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport Monroe Medical Center would hurry and get their shit together. :-(
