Still Small Swallowing Issues

Since the blockage isn't completely open (probably won't be until after the surgery on the 27th), I foolishly tried to eat that eggplant parmesan too fast, got the hanging feeling again. Did some coughing up, started eating slower, taking smaller bites, got the rest down with no problem.

Test Results...Nothing to Hide

Some of my test results from the hospital were posted on the "MyChart" website. I guess "most" of these were within range...

Also, results from one of the CT scans recently at the hospital, from the "MyChart" site the hospital has set up. "MOSTLY" good news I guess, just the damn stricture and hiatal hernia...

Clinical History

Technique
Multiple contiguous axial images were obtained of the chest, abdomen,
and pelvis with the administration of IV and PO contrast. Coronal and
sagittal reconstructions were performed.

Individualized dose optimization techniques were used for this CT.

Findings
Chest:

Heart and great vessels: Normal in size and contour. No aneurysm.

Mediastinum: No mass or lymphadenopathy.

Lungs: Clear and well infiltrated.

Pleura: No pleural thickening or effusion. No pneumothorax.

Airways: Major airways are clear.

Bones/Soft tissues: Unremarkable.

Abdomen/Pelvis:

Hepatobiliary: Liver is normal in appearance. No evidence of biliary
duct dilatation. Gallbladder is normal in appearance.

Pancreas: Unremarkable.

Spleen: Unremarkable.

Adrenals: Unremarkable.

Kidneys/Ureters: Kidneys normal in appearance. No evidence of
hydronephrosis or hydroureter. No evidence of urolithiasis, cyst or
mass.

Stomach/Bowel: Small to moderate sized hiatal hernia with thickening
of the lower 3rd esophagus, possibly reflux esophagitis. No evidence
of obstruction. Normal appendix. Moderate sigmoid diverticulosis.

Reproductive organs/bladder: Unremarkable.

Peritoneum/Retroperitoneum: No evidence of free fluid. No evidence of
free air.

Lymph nodes: No evidence of lymphadenopathy.

Vessels: Unremarkable.

Bones/Soft tissue: Unremarkable.

Impression
Small to moderate sized hiatal hernia with thickening of the lower
3rd esophagus, possibly reflux esophagitis. No evidence of
obstruction.
