Probably a quiet day...

Mom decided she was going to go to Jackson, MS today to see if the VA had gotten around to putting a plaque on Uncle Bill's gravesite yet. Andrew decided he'd go along for the ride. I'm staying here, in case a job opportunity calls. If a job opportunity doesn't call, it means I'll have most of the afternoon to myself.

Also, I'll be waiting around for the "Next day shipping" package I ordered from Amazon.com Wednesday morning, which shouldhave gotten here YESTERDAY! On the package tracking page, at one point it said "Delay in delivery due to weather or natural disaster" in Jackson, MS (same place mom and Andrew are heading). I did some online research, discovering there wasn't any weather bad enough there during that time frame to delay any shipments. So, my thought is, either UPS or Amazon is making excuses, just too ashamed to admit they can't keep up with time sensitive deliveries this time of year! I'll NEVER order anything "Next day" again from them as a result... total waste of money!

Grrr...

It is OVER 48 hours since placing my "next day shipping" order from Amazon for "The IT Crowd: Season 4" and "The Complete Metropolis", and STILL no delivery! I'm thinking of telling Amazon to refund that extra shipping charge. UPS Tracking blames bad weather in Jackson, MS, but my research says there was NO WEATHER BAD ENOUGH to slow down shipping during that time frame! Paid over $15 for next-day shipping! Either Amazon or UPS is full of shiat!

This morning, the tracking said 5:49AM Monroe,LA "Out for Delivery"... this area ain't THAT big... should have been here by now... unless the drivers are farking off... got my day on hold waiting...

Not really "Next Day"...

Not really "Next Day Shipping", since the order was placed Wednesday morning, and there was an excuse of weather problems... but from my research the "weather" excuse wasn't factual... my Amazon shipment via UPS FINALLY got here at 6:22pm tonight... the truck can be seen via webcam cap to the left of the picture...
