Albert's Place

Just spent about an hour and a half next door at my mothers, downloading and installing "Microsoft Critical Updates" and new "Norton Anti-Virus Definitions". The downloading itself is what took the longest, the installing didn't take long at all.

Been reading "microsoft.public.windowsxp.general" and "microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_support" newsgroups like I do virtually every day, and I'm somewhat amazed by the subject matter of bulk of the posts in both groups this morning. Almost everyone posting seems to have gotten that "W32.Blaster.Worm" on their computers...they are all yelling "Help!"...and..."My PC keeps shutting down every 10 minutes!" Out of all the times reading those newsgroups, I've never seen THAT many people getting a virus that quickly...must be some nasty sh*t!
