Furniture Shopping

Well, my mom and I just got back from town. Went to the furniture store. She bought a small twin size bed for her other bedroom(had no bed in there previously...my aunt and her ex-husband had to take the floor and sofa on their recent visit), and she bought me a new recliner. She'll get the bed delivered next week, but it'll be 8-12 weeks on the recliner. I was picky, but it will still be half-off the regular price of $759.99. All they stocked were "rocker-recliners" that also swivel, I like a "stationary" recliner, and they said the one I sat in came in a "stationary" version, but they would have to order it. Also wanted one to half-way match the color of the sofa(although nothing in this house really matches anyway!). Hopefully a "Lane" recliner will last longer than the generic piece of crap with the "sink hole" that came from Montgomery Ward a little over a decade ago...

Yes, I Can't Make Up My Mind....You'd Think I Was A Woman!*

I've knocked off the Yahoo "Albertsplace" group...only reason I started it was to have a chat room for the relocated site, but I decided to start back using my "Warped" Java/IRC room instead. I like it better anyway. Although I've noticed that when the "Java Chat Room" link is clicked on my cam pages, MY room isn't the one that pops up...it's Warped's #friendly room for some odd reason. Anyway, if I'm in front of the computer, I'll notice if someone comes into the room. If the "#friendly" room pops up in the Java version, just type: /join #albert71292 in the chat line, and send, it should then go to #albert71292. To get there via IRC, details are on the cam page of my website.

Most of this afternoon however, unless I can't find anything to watch on TV or DVD, I'll be in the living room...

* =Ladies, please ignore the subject line...I've started on the bourbon.....

Opera vs. Mozilla....Geek Speak....

Only reason I never liked Mozilla in the past was its inability to work properly with "plug-ins" like RealPlayer, Quicktime, or Media Player, so I had been using "Opera", which was a LOT more compatible. Well, two days ago, I downloaded Mozilla build 1.3...I like it! Everything that worked in Opera seems to work with Mozilla now, plus, I've always preferred Mozilla's email/newsgroup client over Opera's. Looks like I may have now found my new "default" browser, unless Opera comes up with something drastically different!
