TRS Presents: Soap, Episode 20: Broadcast Tuesday, November 8, 1983 at 9:00pm central. Theme Music: Swing Swing Swing(John Williams). Eunice and Congressman McCallum try to find the blackmailer's pictures of them, Jodie tries to cure Chuck of his ventriloquism, Danny finds out that he has to marry Elaine, Mary tells Burt that she wants to commit him to a mental hospital, and Jessica meets the judge. / Musical Intermission: "Shy Boy" (Bananarama)"
The 60 minute cassette containing episodes 17/18 of "TRS Presents" had a very hissy, muffled sound to it, even though the pressure pad was still in good shape. It was one of those "Certron" branded tapes after the company switched from the "swirly orange lines" label to the beige label, when the actual tape quality seems to have fallen off. Did the best with cleaning it up in software, but still FAR from perfect. As usual, didn't want to reconstruct the episode since the original tape still exists, to keep things as "authentic" as possible from the time period.
Weirdly, the "Certron" cassette containing episodes 19/20 was one of the older ones, and sounds considerably better. Still not "perfect" because of my recording techniques back then, but still far better than the previous two episodes.
