Faulty Hardware...

I think my scanner is screwed up. I try to scan in anything "color", the scan turns out looking like a discolored jigsaw puzzle. Tried changing settings, that didn't help, tried uninstalling and re-installing the software, that didn't help, then finally went to the HP website and downloaded updated drivers, and THAT didn't help! If I scan the color image in "Black & White" mode, it scans perfectly-but in black and white. No good if you want your picture to be in its original color! Guess once I get "caught up" on things after I start work, I'll have to invest in a new scanner! Can't get ahead without getting behind!
