Coincidentally, Almost In Time For Halloween
Tonight, I continued the Tape and Record Show Enterprises archives audio cassette digitization project, by converting the next two episodes of the flagship "Tape and Record Show" from season seven...
"The Tape & Record Show: Episode 445, Broadcast Friday, October 4, 1985 at 10:00pm central. Theme Music: Portable Radio (Daryl Hall and John Oates). "The Real Roxanne"(UTFO/Roxanne Shante) / "Movie: An American Werewolf In London" - David Naughton, Griffin Dunne, and Jenny Agutter star in this film about a man who is attacked by a werewolf on the British moors, and becomes one himself. Part One of Two.
The Tape & Record Show: Episode 446, Broadcast Friday, October 11, 1985 at 10:00pm central. Theme Music: Portable Radio (Daryl Hall and John Oates). "Stranger In My Own Home Town"(Elvis Presley) / "Movie: An American Werewolf In London" - David Naughton, Griffin Dunne, and Jenny Agutter star in this film about a man who is attacked by a werewolf on the British moors. In the conclusion, the doctor who is investigating David's story of a wolf, goes into "the Slaughtered Lamb" where his suspicions become founded. Part Two of Two."
These two episodes feature the complete audio from the 1981 film "An American Werewolf In London". Sound quality, like most Tape and Record Show Enterprises "broadcasts" from the 80's, is FAR from being "high fidelity". The "broadcast audio" was recorded/edited on those low end, three in a package, "Certron" branded audio cassettes, dubbed off my monophonic VHS tape of the film recorded from a HBO airing around 1982.
Odd coincidences about this evenings transfers: Episode 446 was "aired" a day later, 37 years ago, than the digitization completed tonight. Wasn't planned. These two episodes were next in the list for conversion. Also, since the werewolf appears during a full moon, there's a full moon tonight. Maybe I should have bought a ticket for tonight's Powerball lottery.
