Back To Converting After A Short Break

Episode 436 was yet another "album hour", this time featuring a slightly lesser known album by Daryl Hall and John Oates. Midway through, as filler material to pad the episode out to an hour, is a heavily edited/shortened version of the Sanford and Son episode "Tower Power", which first appeared on one of the two "90 Minute Sanford and Son Movie" compilations from earlier Tape and Record Show seasons.

The episode description of 437 is fairly self-explanatory, so no need to explain any further, except to maybe bring up the controversy around the short song "Farewell to John Denver", which IS on my original first release of the "Contractual Obligation Album", minus the Terry Jones apology... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monty_Python's_Contractual_Obligation_Album . The "most requested scenes" blurb was just an excuse to make the compilation sound more extravagant, since none of these shows were ever ACTUALLY "broadcast" anywhere. It was just skits I tossed together from my various sources.

The "TRS Jukebox" series started out on the TRSE "network" as a weekly series "broadcasting" the audio from the HBO series "Video Jukebox". However, the HBO show wasn't weekly, so I ran out of "soundtracks" quickly since I made the TRS version a weekly show. As is obvious in episode 11, I had to start digging into the TRSE archives record collection to assemble new episodes. However, I still used the short HBO Video Jukebox theme music for the episodes. The song "Be Stiff" by Toni Basil (after "We Got The Beat"), wasn't listed on the original "broadcast card" for episode 11 for some reason, along with "Rip Her To Shreds" by Blondie(after "Atomic Dog") in episode 12, probably clerical errors by me at the time. At the close of episode 12, there was a compilation of excerpts by Randy Haney singing Elvis Presley songs from previous "Life of Elvis" and "Comedy Hour" episodes.
