As you can probably tell by the program description, episode 18 of TRSE's version of "The Dr. Demento Show" concentrated on "surf music". Another caller request from West Monroe appears in this episode, someone named Daryl (couldn't make out the last name), who listened to the show on KNAN 106 FM at the time (1986, when the original two hour broadcast would have aired locally).
Episode 19 had a short marathon of "singing animal" songs. The first song in the episode however, makes me think of the doctor who performed my esophagus surgery back in 2018. Don't get me wrong, I like the surgeon, she's been one of my favorite doctors, but that part of her anatomy IS out of proportion with the rest of her body. Hopefully, she'll never see this post, because she might want to go back in and undo her previous work!
I announce episode 404 of "The Tape and Record Show" as the "first album hour", but I seem to have forgotten about the episode from the previous season featuring Kool and The Gang's "Ladies Night" album, produced by James Stricklin, but "aired" as a "Tape and Record Show" episode. The "preview" presented midway through the hour is actually for the SECOND "Randy Haney Comedy Hour", which was "broadcast" the following month, even though I announced it on the tape as the third. It was described correctly on the original handwritten "broadcast info" index card however. Ironically, with the mistakes in my original narration, I think the episode should have gotten a "404 error", even though I'm not sure that term even existed back in 1983.
