After all this time, mom is finally interested in learning how to work the streaming TV box. When she spent a week at my uncle's house to dogsit while he was having surgery, she liked some of the Pluto TV streaming channels. Uncle kept his streaming box on that app, because he wasn't paying for cable and didn't have an antenna for local channels. Showed her how to put the livingroom TV on the correct input for the streaming box (a step she didn't have to worry about on uncles TV) and the "basics" of operating the streaming remote, and also wrote out a set of instructions in case she forgets something. Once she gets used to the "extra" remote and how to switch the TV from "antenna" to "streaming", I think she'll do fine.
