Piecing Things Together Again
This evening, converted/digitized two more hours of episodes of the "flagship" Tape and Record Show Enterprises series "The Tape and Record Show", originally "broadcast" in 1983 during "season four" to the hard drives...
"The Tape & Record Show: Episode 375, Broadcast Friday, January 28, 1983 at 10:00pm central. Theme Music: A Piece of Cake 2(Jerry Reed). "Beauty School Dropout"(Randy Haney) / "SCTV Comedy Network" - Includes a spoof of "The Godfather" with Joe Flaherty as "Guy Cabellero", who is put in the hospital after an attempted gangland murder, and an episode of "The 3-D House of Beef" with guest artist James Ingram. / "Finders Keepers"(The Beach Boys, announced by Jerry Sanders).

"Catch A Wave"(The Beach Boys, announced by Jerry Sanders) / "Loving Arms"(Randy Haney/Elvis Presley) / "The Elvis Presley Story, Part 23: Just Try To Beat Elvis" / "Movie: For Your Eyes Only" - Roger Moore plays "James Bond 007" in this adventure packed movie dealing with the heisting of an ATAC (Automatic Targeting Attack Communicator) system. In part One, Bond is set aboard a runaway helicopter, and is sent to investigate the murder of the Timothy Havelock family. (Part One of Three)"
Episode 375 was your standard, no frills episode, including the audio from an episode of "SCTV Network" spoofing "The Godfather", the version of "SCTV" from NBC late night in the early 1980's, with a couple of "time fillers" by Randy Haney and Jerry Sanders. For some reason at the time, I also inserted a few "Not Necessarily The News" skits from the HBO series into the mix.
Episode 376 kind of "broke my flow" in converting the season four "Tape and Record Show" weekly hour episodes. Since this was the season I got better equipment and had started copying/compiling the "broadcast edits" of the episodes to cassettes at the time to keep from manually switching audio sources for each segment, I've been using those already compiled cassettes for these transfers. The cassette featuring episode 376, however, was "missing in action" in the archives, and it was "part one" of a three-part arc. So, as with the episodes I've converted from seasons one-three, I had to hunt down the original separate "elements", convert and assemble them to recreate the episode. As a result, all the content of the original "broadcast" is there, just not my voice announcing each segment, because I can't recreate how my voice sounded nearly 40 years ago.
