The Ewing family reassembles to wait for news of his fate and police search for clues and suspects in the shooting. (Part Two of Two)."
As you may notice from the "Tape and Record Show" episode descriptions, the "Who Shot J.R.?" arc of the original "Dallas" TV series was padded out to run considerably longer than it did when CBS aired the series, during the TRS "broadcasts". The four "episodes" converted this evening were half hours, thus splitting the original "Dallas" episodes into two parts each. Also, these recordings are transferred from the original audio cassettes I recorded from the TV speaker in 1980 with a hand held microphone with a portable monophonic cassette recorder. Not the "best" sound quality, but "authentic" to the way it sounded to me at the time, so there's my "nostalgia" factor kicking in. The first old audio cassette in the arc had to be transferred to a new housing before I could convert it, because as has become the "norm" for several of those 40+ year old audio cassettes, the foam pressure pad has either rotted away, or fallen off completely due to age, and the fact I used "budget" tapes at the time.
Also digitized the first episode of season two of the TRSE separate spin-off series, the "James Stricklin Song Mirage". The fictional "Calvert Mimms" co-host had retired yet again, so it was James and I hosting between tunes. We made a "big deal" about having certain artists on compact disc at the time...
