Compiling Episodes
Couple of days ago, I posted about my digitizing segments needed to assemble into full "Tape and Record Show" "broadcasts" from 1979. Managed to find what I needed from the old off-air audio cassettes in the closet, or by locating "alternate sources" for the material I couldn't find, or that the original cassette was just "too far gone" to play after four decades in storage. This afternoon, I took what I converted the past two evenings and edited/assembled them into the "broadcast format" for the episodes.
I was able to complete eight more episodes of the original "Tape and Record Show" as of this afternoon, thus bringing my fully digitized total to 70 episodes. I'm amazed I've been able to locate the original tapes needed, or been able to find alternate sources for the missing material to complete the first 70 shows... so far at least. I'm fairly positive there will be a few out of the 487 TOTAL "Tape and Record Show" episodes in which I won't be so lucky locating the material needed however. Heck, even one episode of the later series "Paul Morrison's Country Corral" has even turned up amiss after all these years!
Here's the listing for the eight newly completed episodes. The episodes are consecutive. Gaps in the "broadcast dates" mean that either "repeats" were "aired" on those dates, or no episode was "broadcast" on those dates...

"The Jetsons: Rosie the Robot" - Tired of housework, Jane hires a robot maid named Rosie, unaware that George is bringing his boss Mr. Spacely home to plead poverty and ask for a raise. / "Lonliness Is eating Me Alive"(Merle Haggard)."
I must not have been looking closely at the clock when I originally "broadcast" episode 66, because once everything was compiled together for this project, the episode had an odd 66 minute run-time. Guess it goes well with being "episode 66" though! :-P
