Bit of an oddity in the "Hit Parade" episode transferred this evening. Jerry announces the song by "Skyy" twice before it starts. Can't tell you if that was an editing mistake on Jerry's end or mine, since I don't have the "master" tapes. Jerry was the only one in our "organization" who kept possession of the original copies of his shows. I just borrowed and edited them into "broadcast" versions. Always a possibility he could have paused the tape on his end, forgot he announced, and announced again. After nearly four decades, who can remember that far back?
"Fun" Fact: For SOME reason, Paul Morrison never seemed to like Jerry. Apart from them never being in a recording session together, I can't seem to ever remember them being in the same ROOM together at the same time, unless maybe they had a class or two together at West Monroe High School. Then again, Paul didn't seem to think much of Randy Haney either. Can't remember right off which one Paul was referring to when he once said that "It's not that I don't like him, I just don't have a USE for him". Paul seemed to get along fine (obviously) with me, James Stricklin, and Dennis Goodwin however.
Also transferred two more of the flagship "The Tape & Record Show" episodes, which mainly consisted of audio from TV shows and some records, thus the way the name of the show originated...

Probably the "darkest" in plot of any "Gilligan's Island" episode. The Will Rogers commentary in episode 15 from the early 1930's still applies to current conditions in government.
