Rotating Vehicles

Andrew comes and goes a LOT more often than either mom or I, since he works nearly every day. This was causing serious ruts in the driveway where he was parking due to the rains. Day before yesterday, he had a good idea, to move my truck from under the carport so he could park his car there instead. The truck hasn't been running in nearly five months anyway, and as old as it is, even IF I could afford to get it running again, I don't think it would be worth it, since something ELSE would probably happen to it later.

He was able to put the truck in neutral and push it out from under the carport, then he partially pushed it off to the side of the carport, while I held the steering wheel. I'd be unable to help push, and he wasn't able to get it where it needed to be relocated. Sooo, he jump starts the battery, tried getting it to stay running, but it constantly went dead again after putting it in gear. After 20 minutes or so, he tried something different. He kept his foot on the accelerator WHILE putting it in "Drive". It lunged forward then enough to get it to the desired location. He had to hurriedly slam on the brake however, to keep from going TOO far very quickly.

After all that, he can now park under the carport, next to mom's car.
