Mom cooks dry beans regularly. She almost didn't get what she wanted, the shelf was almost BARE. They were also extremely low on flour, sugar, meat, and ramen noodles. Bottled water, toilet tissue, and paper towels were virtually NON-EXISTENT, but luckily we didn't need water, tissue, or paper towels anyway. There was a limit of three items on the water, tissue, paper towels, and over the counter meds.
This was our usual weekly trip to the store. I'm thinking the grocery was so busy due to the "national emergency" declared today, and the other fact that the state Governor announced ALL kindergarten through twelfth grade schools in the state will be closed until April 13th. If I had brought my camera, I would have taken a few photos of the "madness".
