A Slightly Faded Memory

I was just remembering that time VERY shortly after the major surgery on my esophagus back in December 2018, one of my friends called the hospital to check on me (the ONLY one I heard from while I was there). Unfortunately, when she called, I was not at my "alert self" because of still being heavily "doped up", had no clue who she was until she told me, and forgot nearly everything about the call. I do remember they had to bring me a cordless phone from the nurses desk on the floor, because there were no phones in the ICU rooms. 😕
