Subject: Various Cities, LA. Scheduled Maintenance

Problem: The following message has been posted to inform you of a scheduled maintenance in your area; in addition, the IVR has been updated to reflect the current status. WHO? Dedicated Internet Access, FastAccess and Dial customers will be affected by this scheduled maintenance. WHAT? Our customers will be disconnected and unable to connect to the Internet for a period of 2 hours as the work is conducted. WHEN? The maintenance will take place on Thursday May 23, 2002 , during the hours of 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. EDT. WHERE? Service in Alexandria, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Leesville, Monroe, Natchitoches, New Iberia, Opelousas, Ruston, and Shreveport, LA. will be impacted. WHY? We will be upgrading our routers to increase capacity in order to meet the growing market demand in your area. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for choosing BellSouth Internet Services.

Problem: The following message has been posted to inform you of a scheduled maintenance in your area; in addition, the IVR has been updated to reflect the current status. Who? Dial and FastAccess customers will be affected by this maintenance. What? We are performing a scheduled maintenance affecting our E-mail servers. As a result, our customers will be unable send or receive E-mail for up 20 minutes as the work is conducted. In addition, FastAccess customers that have downloaded our Connection Manager Tool may a yellow diagonal line or a red X through the tool. The yellow line indicates which system is affected by the maintenance and the red X indicates that the customer has no connection. When? The work is scheduled to take place on Thursday, May 23, 2002 during the hours of 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. EDT. Where? This maintenance will impact the nine-state Bellsouth region that BellSouth Internet Services serves. Why? We will be upgrading our E- mail servers to enhance services for our customers. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for choosing BellSouth Internet Services.
