Got one of these emails for the first time this morning. The content was almost word for word like the one in this article, except they were asking for $7000 instead of $2900. The email DID have a password I've used on a couple of "non-vital" websites. I've since changed the password on one of the sites as a precaution (the other website, a forum I haven't visited in a while, wouldn't even load, so IT might be the source of the "leak"), and deleted the sham email.
