Soup For ANOTHER Month??

When I went to the "University Health Conway" walk-in clinic for the second time about my problems with swallowing solid foods, they set up a referral to "Ear/Nose/Throat". This was on June 6th. They said my appointment would be mailed. Only thing I've gotten in the mail from them so far was a survey questionnaire earlier this month concerning the FIRST visit.

Sooo, I call them this morning after the mail ran, since the appointment STILL wan't in the mailbox. It was THEN that they tell me a "referral" has to be sent to Shreveport to either be "approved" or "turned down", and the process can take from six to eight weeks to be completed. I mean, WHAT THE FUCK?!? In the meantime, I'm losing weight AND strength, because all I can eat without getting the hanging/gagging feeling in my throat is SOUP... the "heaviest" soups being creamy or noodle soups... "chunky" soup is out of the question!

I'll swear, since that jackass Jindal let "University Health" start managing the hospitals, the service has gone to hell in a handbasket! Should have kept the LSU system in charge of running them! I'm going to be a weak wreck by the time when/if I get to see the specialist!
