Don't Be Fooled

Don't be fooled into thinking Walmart is doing good by its employees by raising the base wage to $9.00/hour, because they aren't. Most new employees are hired part time, usually only getting 25 hours a week or less. Health benefits for those employees are offered, but the cost would take over half a weeks wages if the employee took it. If you are hired by Walmart part time, FORGET trying to find a second job to make ends meet, because your shift and days off will change week to week. Also, if you work for Walmart, DON'T TAKE TIME OFF if you get sick, no matter even if you have the plague. Even with a doctors note, they will terminate you if you don't come to work to spread your illness to customers and other employees.

I say all of this from personal experience.
