Very Strange....

I was taking a nap, and was awakened by the telephone. It was my mother next door. She said some of her power was working, and some wasn't. So I get up and check my house. Some things are getting electricity, some aren't. The light in the living room, the TV and stereo equipment, the light and both outlets in the "CD" room, the flouresent light in the kitchen, the deep freeze and refrigerator, one outlet in the main bedroom, and the heating unit have no power. The microwave, the stove, the computer, and everything else is getting electricity. Has this ever happened to anyone else? I've had ALL the power go out before, numerous times, but never "some here" and "some there"! It's got me confused!
My mother said she just called the power company, they are supposed to be sending someone out to investigate.....
