Just got off the phone with BellSouth. Canceled Sprint as a long distance provider. Only reason I was with them in the first place for long distance was so I could save $2 a month on my Earthlink Internet bill back when I was using Earthlink. I didn't have a "calling plan" or anything, just basic long distance service. Then, last month, they started adding $1.74 a month to my phone bill, just to have themselves listed on my phone bill as my long distance provider. I rarely make long distance calls anyway, and why pay $1.74 a month for something you may not use for 6 months? If I need to call long distance, I'll just go somewhere and purchase one of those "calling cards"...think I'll come out cheaper in the long run!
