And Now For A Few Completely Random Things... [Jul. 5th, 2009|08:50 am]

[Current Mood | awake]

Yesterday after work, I picked up a Norelco electric razor for my son. He's at that "magic" age that the "peachfuzz" on his face is getting highly noticable, and I wanted to make sure he got rid of it before the new school year starts, when he begins high school. I figured it would be easier in the beginning stages of shaving for him to use an electric, because that is what I used the first few years I shaved, not switching to a manual razor till about my mid-20's. I remember when I was about a year younger than him, my "peachfuzz" had started showing up, and I was heavily ribbed at school about it until I shaved it off. Course, mine showed up more than his, because of the dark hair I had then. As a bonus, got 10% off the razor, thanks to my employee discount. :-)

Wilbur's funeral is set for tomorrow at 10am, but I'm not going. I liked the guy a lot, but I HATE funerals and funeral homes in general. Haven't even attended most relatives funerals just because of that fact. I'm planning to donate what might be left of my body to "science" when I go... I consider "funerals" a waste of money and land space.

Off work Sunday and Monday this week. Apart from doing some laundry, taking Andrew to his psychiatric appointment tomorrow afternoon (the place is about to stop seeing him since his behavior has improved quite a bit)... I don't plan on doing much that requires "energy" these two days. After I send this post, going to shut down the PC, unplug it, take the side off it, and blow out any dust that may have accumulated in it since I bought it back in March of 2008...

Off today, yet busy [May. 19th, 2009|07:53 am]
[Tags|, , ]
[Current Mood | busy]

Well, I'm off work until Thursday morning, but THIS day is pretty much shot. Got a meeting with Andrews special ed teacher at 9am this morning, where she is supposed to go over what he will be doing when he starts high school this upcoming school year. After the meeting, I may drive over to "Best Buy" and see if they have season 1 of "True Blood" on Blu-ray (it's supposed to be released today). Later today, mom has an eye doctor appointment at 3:30pm, so I need to drive her to that, since the doctor usually dilates her eyes. Also, between those times, I need to try and get some laundry washed.

HOPEFULLY, all I have to do tomorrow will be to sit on my posterior! Yes, I'm lazy like that!

Afterthought: I have a Twitter account, but I think Twitter is starting to ruin LJ... I see more and more posts here that are just "Twitter Update" summaries, not actual posts.

Doc visit update [Apr. 14th, 2009|01:16 pm]
[Tags|, , , ]
[Current Mood | aggravated]

Well, all the blood work turned out fine. No worries there. Doc wasn't happy, however, when she took my blood pressure... it was 140 over 93. Told her I was taking my meds, but she wants me to now start watching my salt intake, and cut back on red meats... BLAH!! All I can say is I'll "try"... not gunna guarantee it!

In other news, the internet problems I posted about last Wednesday are STILL happening. Called AT&T Sunday evening about it, since it was regularly going "on and off", they ran me through a bunch of stuff I had done BEFORE I called them. Last thing the Indian woman on the phone talked me through was the diagnostic thing I mentioned in Wednesdays post. Internet light on the modem went green again (as it did previously), and the woman said to call back if the problem persists.

In todays call, got another Indian woman, she ran some kind of test on her end, saying there was no DSL signal detected, and she would try to get in touch with a line technician, then call me back.

Well, she called back in mid-post.... they are sending an "experienced line technician"* out sometime between 1-5pm tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully he'll be out after 2pm, because I won't be home from work until then!

Internet is at least "temporarily" back for now...

*If AT&T actually HAD "experienced line technicians"...I wouldn't be freggin' HAVING these kinds of issues to begin with!!!

UPDATE: Just got another call from AT&T... they are sending someone out THIS afternoon instead...

UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: AT&T guy just left. Couldn't find anything wrong in the lines (inside OR out), but said the "dB level" was a bit low, so he put a noise limiter on the line to boost the signal, and if I still had issues, to call him back (he gave me his cell number).

At the SAME time, Andrew's councelor and HIS boss showed up, with some papers for Andrew's treatments to continue a while longer, even though the past few months have been incident free.

With all that has been going on today, it's been more hectic than a Saturday at work!

UPDATE TO THE UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: Internet went down again. Called "Bobby's" cellphone... he's stumped... bringing by a different DSL modem after I get home from work tomorrow...

Doctor this morning... blah... [Apr. 14th, 2009|08:06 am]

[Current Mood | blah]
[Current Music |"Bill Handel" on KFIAM640 radio stream]

I'll be leaving in about half an hour for my "every few months" checkup on my high blood pressure. Guess I'll get the results on the lab work from last week also. I know two of the three tubes of blood the vampires extracted from my arm were to check cholesterol and glucose levels, not sure what the third was for.

In other news, the clock on my coffee maker has a partial LED outage. The top part of the last number of the clock no longer lights up. Everything else still works fine though. This is my third coffee maker in the past five years. Am I just drinking too much coffee, or do I need to buy one of those "industrial" coffee makers, like the one you see in offices??

[Current Mood | awake]

Even though I'm off work today, I'm still up early. Will have to leave for the hospital in a few minutes, need to get some lab work done before next Tuesday's doctor appointment, for my blood pressure checkup. Gonna try to not leave the house after that today if I can avoid it... prefer being "lazy as possible" on my days off! ;-)

This next section of the post is for [info]indigomittens, who was curious as to what my workplace looks like. They don't like taking pics inside the store, but I snapped one of the outside...

Management will throw a hissy fit, BUT... [Mar. 15th, 2009|05:02 am]
[Tags|, , , , ]
[Current Mood | sore, sleepy,]

My leg has had a throbbing pain most of the night, keeping me awake, even worse when I stand up. The new meds apparently haven't had a chance to "kick in" I guess. The doctor only wrote my excuse for yesterday, but wrote on the bottom, in sloppy handwriting, "Stay off leg as much as possible 3 days". In my line of work, I CAN'T stay off the leg any length of time.

So, to give the leg a bit more "healing time", I just called the absentee toll-free number, letting them know hours in advance I won't be in today. I'm scheduled off tomorrow and Tuesday. Hoping by then the meds will be taking effect enough by Wednesday for me to return to work. The managers will throw a hissy fit, since they say ANY absence is an "unexcused one", even WITH a doctors excuse, BUT... how the heck are you supposed to pick up stuff, pull pallets, etc... with a leg hurting so bad you have a huge risk of falling down?!? It's happened to me twice in the past couple of days here at home! Besides, this new round of severe pain STARTED Thursday night while doing just that, pulling a pallet off a truck!

[Current Mood | blah]

Doctor pretty much said the same thing that was said a couple of years ago, when the pain first occurred and was in the exact same place, but not NEARLY as painful. A mystery "muscle condition". He said not much to do about those but treat them. This time, however, I was prescribed Prednisone, take 4 a day for 4 days, then 2 a day for 4 days, then 1 a day for 6 days. Those pills have no "coating" on them... leaving a bitter taste on my tongue long after taking them... blah...

Just called in to work, going to see a doctor instead. Thursday night, the recurring pain in my upper left leg came back with a vengence while pulling a pallet off a delivery truck, except this time, my left foot also went numb, which has never happened before. Still have pain and numbness... have to sit down to put my clothes on...

The Day Off So Far... [Feb. 16th, 2009|12:14 pm]
[Tags|, , , ]
[Current Mood | curious]

Currently have a second load of laundry in the dryer.

Went online, did my Federal taxes. If all is correct, I'll be getting back enough to get that widescreen flat panel TV for the living room, to replace the 11 year old 27" Sony Trinitron CRT, which is still working fine, but severely "outdated" by todays standards.

Andrew has his annual eye exam appointment this morning. Mom offered to take him to that, to give me a chance to do some washing and my tax forms. Not sure what time they will return. The boy is out of school today and tomorrow. Today is "Presidents' Day", and tomorrow the teachers are having an "In-service" meeting.

Had a really bizarre dream last night. Don't remember the whole thing, just a part with Katie Couric (I don't even WATCH her on the news!) running to the sidelines of a football field (I'm not a sports fan either) with a short skirt on, her panties slipping down to her knees, then she falls over, landing on her back, legs up in the air, holding her stomach, laughing hysterically... her hoohah in plain view. I'm still thinking to myself, "WTF?!?" Any dream analysts out there to explain this? Could it be my blood pressure meds? Been having a LOT of bizarre dreams since I started taking them...

Leaving the PC for a bit to once again TRY to get caught up on viewing that stack of DVDs in the living room... I'll be somewhere HERE if you're a-lookin' for me!

When a "prescription" really ISN'T a "prescription... [Dec. 10th, 2008|10:46 pm]
[Tags|, ]
[Current Mood | confused]

When I was at the doctors Monday for my blood pressure checkup, I mentioned the constantly runny nose I've had for nearly three weeks. The doctor said it didn't sound like another sinus infection, and wrote a prescription (with five refills) for something called "Loratadine 10mg". After work, I went by Walgreens, and handed the prescription to the pharmacist. He said that the medicine was just a generic form of "Claritin", and directed me to the shelf, pointing out the Walgreens store brand, which indeed said it was "Loratadine 10mg". They had a 45-day supply for the price of the 30-day supply. The pharmacist said it could be filled as a prescription however, but it would be a few dollars more.

Question: Why would a doctor write a prescription (with five refills) for something you can just walk in, pick up off the shelf, and proceed to the check-out with? Makes NO sense to me whatsoever!

No "day off" on days off... [Dec. 8th, 2008|01:05 pm]
[Tags|, , ]
[Current Mood | accomplished]

Just returned home from my scheduled doctor appointment. Blood pressure was 120/85, which was within acceptable levels according to the doctor. He also prescribed something for this runny nose I've had for a bit over 2 weeks. Guess in one visit, I managed to "kill two birds with one stone", so to speak. Also, got in and out of the clinic a lot faster than I was expecting, which was a big plus!

Not expecting to get "in and out" fast tomorrow morning at the court house however. Those jury selection things drag on and on and on and on and on.....

[Current Music |"TWiT Live" at TWiTLive.tv]

When I got to the hospital this morning, they put an IV in my arm (still got a nasty looking bruise from that), then gave me an injection of some isotopes and had me sit for about half an hour, to give it time to get through my bloodstream. Then they had me lie down under a big X-ray machine thingy that took a thorough scan of my chest (took about 14 minutes). After that, I was escorted to the treadmill room. They kept a saline solution IV in me the entire time, to keep the IV tube in my arm from clogging up. Made it through the test till the end, although the "running uphill" part was a bit taxing on my legs. They got my heart rate where they wanted it at the conclusion of the test. They were shooting for 151 bpm, they got 153 bpm. By the end of the test, my blood pressure shot WAY up however. Started at 133 over 88 (the meds are helping), but wound up at 160 over 100. Then after that, back to the scan room, where they ran a second chest scan.

Don't know the results as of yet, but have an appointment with a cardiologist to talk to me about the results on July 18th.

Since I couldn't eat before the test, I was very hungry, so on the way home, I stopped by Sonic and bought a SuperSonic Breakfast Burrito and a large order of tots. Real "heart healthy" breakfast, ain't it? ;-)

Walking Pharmacy + 2 [Jun. 14th, 2008|04:52 pm]
[Tags|, ]
[Current Mood | blah]

Ignore my decision yesterday. I was still very lightheaded after getting out of bed this morning, so elected to call in again, and go back to the hospital instead (mom drove me). When I got there, the nurse in the triage took my blood pressure again, and it was registering 152 over 102, emensily above normal, even after taking the prescribed meds for two days already. Went there just expecting to get an extended doctor excuse from work, instead came home with two more prescriptions in hand, AND an excuse to be off work through Tuesday.

I'm to continue taking the other prescriptions I got previously, now along with Lisinopril, and a motion sickness medicine for the excess dizziness. Good news, I was able to get the two new drugs on Wal-Mart's $4 plan. Most I've been out so far was the $147 for the 30-count bottle of Plavix!

[Current Mood | cranky]

Even though I was off today, my mom volunteered to take my son to his every three months doctor appointment at Conway Hospital for his asthma checkups. Since the psychiatrist at Cognitive Development hasn't scheduled him an appointment in the last couple of months, and I don't want Andrew to get kicked out of school for behavioral problems, the doctor there was supposed to write him a new Adderall prescription. Well, my mom goes to the pharmacy a bit later in the morning, after bringing Andrew back here after seeing the doc...then goes to the pharmacy to get the prescriptions for both the asthma and the ADHD. After having to wait an enormous amount of time for it to be filled (because Walgreens had to contact the hospital about info for his Adderall then wait for a fax back from them), my mom was way later than expected returning home. When she gets back, she checks the bags... no Adderall, another antihistimine instead! Not good, since Andrew runs out of the medicine in 6 days! She just left, going back to Walgreens.

I blame the pinheads working at the state run hospital, not Walgreens...

Forgot to mention earlier... [Oct. 16th, 2007|09:07 am]
[Tags|, , , ]
[Current Mood | lethargic]
[Current Music |"Handel on the News" on KFI stream]

When I went to the hospital about my leg last week, before I saw the doctor, they took my weight (190 lbs), temperature (98.6F), and blood pressure. The nurse asked if I had high blood pressure. I told her not that I was aware of. I looked at the paper where she was writing everything down, and it said my blood pressure was 150 over 92 (which, according to her is kind of on the "high" end). Well, the doctor didn't say anything about it, so guess she didn't think it was of any urgency. My mother has loaned me her blood pressure monitor so I can test it a couple of times a day. This morning it read 138 over 94. Looked up online what was "normal", and systolic (top number) should be less than 120, and diastolic (bottom number) should be less than 80.

According to the American Heart Associations website, if my "readings" keep running the same as these past two, I'm in the "neighborhood" of "Stage 1" hypertension. Going to keep it monitored a couple of times a day for a couple of weeks, if it doesn't go down, I'll make an appointment at LSU Medical Center-Monroe to get it checked out.

I was already scheduled "off" today, so continuing to rest the leg. When I woke up this morning, it seemed most of the pain moved from my upper thigh down to my knee. Not planning on going anywhere today, went ahead and took a pain pill and a muscle relaxer (the latter makes me feel like my head is spinning). Working 2-11pm both Wednesday and Thursday.

Leg update [Oct. 13th, 2007|10:02 am]
[Tags|, , ]
[Current Mood | groggy]

Last night, my leg didn't pain me NEAR as much as the previous nights. The meds the doctor at the hospital prescribed seem to be doing their job. Been taking his advice and trying to stay off the leg as much as possible. I fully hope to go back to work tomorrow (may need to call them early in the morning to see what time I'm supossed to be there, forgot to write my schedule down for next week, and so far, haven't heard anything back from two of my co-workers that I sent a bulletin on MySpace to, asking them if they could check for me. Would call today, but I doubt they'd have time to look it up... Saturdays are hell there!). Doctor wrote on my work excuse to stay off from Oct. 11-13, so I have proof to show why I couldn't work.

Only caveat I see about going back to work tomorrow, I'll be a bit woozy, still have to take the meds until they are finished.

Doctor's visit [Oct. 11th, 2007|01:32 pm]
[Tags|, , ]
[Current Mood | sore]

Instead of going to work this morning, I went to the hospital instead. Leg was hurting so bad it was unbearable. After about a 2 hour wait (much less time than I expected), I got to see the doctor. I described my symptoms to her, she moved my leg into various positions, had me apply pressure on it, then determined that no x-rays were needed, and that it was a muscle sprain (pretty much what I thought it was all along, but I thought it would have worked its way out, insteading of getting three times more painful after working yesterday).

Anywho, the doctor wrote an excuse for me to be off work through Saturday, and I have three prescription meds to take... a muscle relaxer, a pain reliever, and a steroid (glad two were "generics", would have been a LOT more expensive otherwise). Also need to stay off the leg as much as possible until then.

Other than that, not much else new to report at the moment...

Off day, bad leg, moms colonoscopy... [Oct. 9th, 2007|01:23 pm]
[Tags|, , ]
[Current Mood | sore]

Off today, took my mother to the Ouachita Community Hospital so she could get a colonoscopy done. She noticed blood in her stool last Thursday, decided she better get things checked out. Dr. Raines is waiting for the biopsy, but is sure nothing malignant is there, just most likely an inflamation, which should be easily treated. They are supposed to call her back in two days for the final result. She was told to not eat all day yesterday, so she was plenty hungry when she got home a few minutes ago!

In other news, I've had a bad pain in my left leg, which started Sunday evening at work. If I suddenly step down on that leg, a sharp pain runs to the bottom of my leg, up half my body, causing me to grit my teeth. Worked with it like that yesterday, trying to rest it today, before having to return to work tomorrow. Strange thing, if I'm standing or sitting still, I barely feel any pain... but if I lye down, the pain is more persistant. I'm guessing I pulled a muscle somehow. If it hasn't improved much by Friday (my next day off), I'll go "brave the wait" at LSU Medical Center-Monroe to see a doctor (hates those nearly all-day waits)...

Now, I'm off to the living room to watch more of my unwatched DVD pile...

Day off, from the job at least... [Sep. 24th, 2007|08:24 am]
[Tags|, , , ]
[Current Mood | tired]

Off today, but have things to do. Currently washing the bed linens, and around 11:30 this morning, I'm running my mother up to Glenwood Hospital. She is having a stent procedure done this afternoon around 2:30. Won't be able to stay up there during it, gotta be home when Andrew gets home from school. They said they will probably keep her overnight for observation, and let her come home sometime tomorrow. I've informed the managers at work I'll be 30-45 minutes late in the morning. Scheduled 7am-4pm, but I'll have to be here to make sure Andrew gets on the school bus around 7:10. If I'm not here, I know for a FACT that he will get sidetracked on something else and forget to go outside to wait for the bus! Mom said she's already contacted Aunt Sybil to come bring her home from the hospital tomorrow, since I'll be at work till 4.

Now, going for my third cup of "Community Dark Roast" coffee... worked till 11pm last night, got to sleep around 1am, got up at 5:30 this morning to see Andrew got up and ready for school... so I'm currently coasting on around 4½ hours of sleep...

Two days off in a row, who'da thunk? [Aug. 31st, 2007|08:47 am]
[Tags|, , , , ]
[Current Mood | busy]

Starting my first of two days off today. Got a few things to do however. Need to run out to "Sears Roebuck and Co." to see about getting a decent pair of shoes to work in. The previous pair of Reeboks I had "bit the dust" a couple of weeks ago after lasting nearly a year (not bad considering the wear and tear they get on the job). Made the mistake of buying a cheap (less than $20) pair of shoes at Wal-Mart to replace them, and now, less than two weeks later, they are already starting to self-destruct. Going to buy another pair of Reeboks today to replace those.

This afternoon, I have to go to Riser Middle School for another "IEP" (Individualized Education Program) meeting with Andrew's teachers, to see how he's progressing in his learning. Meeting is at 2pm, so I'll probably just bring him home with me... no need for him to catch the bus since school lets out at 3pm.

Mom went to the doctor day before yesterday with a bit of shortness of breath. They x-rayed her chest, lungs looked fine. Then they did a cardiogram, and didn't like something they saw in it, so they set her up an appointment with a cardiologist on September 17th. Possibility she might need a stent put in. Currently, she has gone to the post office, for her retirement breakfast... a little get-together they do for everyone when they retire.

News on the job front: My CSM told me she's working to get me "inside" the store soon, three more cart people are being hired, and once hired and trained, me and one other cart person may be moved in. She asked what I had in my career preferences, and I told her "electronics" and "overnight stocker". She said they are going to position some new overnight stockers soon, and she'd talk with the night manager about getting me on. Advantages to overnight stocking... extra dollar an hour, set off-days, and set hours... no more "turn-arounds"!

Todays "To Do" list:

1.] Get Andrew off to school.
2.] Do a couple of loads of laundry.
3.] Make a decent blog update.
4.] Go to Sears for a decent pair of working shoes, since Wal-Mart's are "craptastic".
5.] Trim my hair a bit. (Yes, I cut my own hair!)
6.] Go to Andrew's IEP meeting at school. (He's doing VERY well!)
7.] Try to watch a few more DVDs... WAYYY behind in watching all I've bought!

Sidenote to all my LJ friends: Haven't forgotten about y'all. Still reading your posts, just haven't had much time or energy with the job to comment as regularly as I used to! :-)

Well, THAT freggin' figures... [Jun. 11th, 2007|05:17 pm]
[Tags|, , ]
[Current Mood | cranky]

I go to all the trouble to make sure I had tomorrow off to take Andrew for his monthly psychiatrist appointment, and they just called to say that they needed to move his appointment to a different day, because the doctor won't be in. They don't even know what day yet, saying they'd call me back soon with an appointment. This leaves me with a third day off this week (that third day will cut into my paycheck).

Guess I should have taken my mom up on her offer. She had offered to take the day off instead to take him (she could take it as a "leave day" and still get paid for it), but I didn't want to put her to any extra trouble. The "new" appointment will be most likely very short notice, and I don't think I could get off work for it easily. So, I'll inform my mom, and when they reschedule (hopefully soon... he only has five days worth of meds left), she can take the day off to take him.

Random Updates... (Whilst I have the time to post) [Mar. 7th, 2007|08:33 am]
[Tags|, , , , ]
[Current Mood | sore, tired]

UPDATE 1: Still working my feet and legs off on the "Wally World" parking lot. Discovered that the cart collectors aren't the only ones that work there that don't have a "set" schedule. Most of the employees hours vary from day to day. Example: I go in at 10am-7pm today, and 7am-4pm tomorrow. On my 7am days, my mom goes in to work a little later (since she works for the post office, she can easily ask the supervisor the day before for permission to come in later), so she can see that Andrew gets on the bus for school. Yesterday, since I had to work, she took the day off to take Andrew to his monthly psychiatrist visit. They re-upped his prescriptions, but someone from the place may be coming to the house day after tomorrow (since I'm off that day) to get me to sign some papers that "allow" my mom to bring him for visits there. Already have his next appointment date though, so I'm going to ask for that date off from work myself.

UPDATE 2: On the "new computer" front... someone I was talking to on my lunch break suggested a place to look at computers I had completely forgotten about... "Sam's Club". Only other places in town I could think of that sell computers locally are "Wal-Mart" and "Office Depot"... the place I bought this one, Radio Shack, seems to have gotten out of the computer selling business. Looked online, to see what the local Sam's might have in stock, and they had a couple of nice HP's, with better specs than the ones that Office Depot seem to be chronically "out of stock" of, at a price around $200 less. If my feet and legs can handle it tomorrow afternoon after work (getting off at 4, off all day Friday), I'm driving across the river to Sam's to see what I can get (already have a membership card that I got while working at the Wal-Mart remodel last summer that is still good).

Already got the new ethernet DSL modem I ordered from BellSouth AT&T. They sent a "Netopia" brand. Threw me for a loop, because all I ever hear people in the Broadband Reports BellSouth forums talk about are Westell modems. Oh, well... as long as it works, guess the brand name doesn't matter much.

If I get the computer tomorrow afternoon, I'll probably be spending most of tomorrow evening and Friday setting the thing up. I'll also need to buy a router, because I've already told Andrew that he can have this old computer (but not until after doing a complete "system restore" using the original CDs to wipe everything I've put on this one off it, then loading SP2 and all the subsequent updates... probably won't get around to that until my NEXT day off). The "fun" part will probably be setting up the "network". Up until now, there's only been one computer in the house, and I've never had any dealings with a router in my entire life! Feel like I'm moving into "uncharted territory"...

UPDATE 3: Now for a bit of a "rant"... nearly killed myself trying to play "catch-up" after getting to work yesterday morning at 10am. The 7am person scheduled to come in to work on getting shopping carts to the front of the store called in, and no one was called in his place. I was the only one there until a little before 1pm, when Hank showed up. Hank, I, and to a lesser extent, one other guy, are the only three out of the six cart collectors that seem to actually want to work. The other three are constantly showing up late, calling in, or when they are there, spend most of their time just standing around or talking to each other, letting the lot get even fuller of empty carts. Unfortunately, it seems management isn't doing much by way of "discipline" at the moment, because they say it is very difficult to find people that are willing to work outside.

A couple of managers and the personnel manager have told me I'm doing a good job (even though I can barely move after getting off for the day), and the personnel manager said she was "pulling" to try to get me to an "inside position" as soon as it would be possible.

Well, need to get off this thing, fix a bite to eat, and finish up the laundry, before leaving for work....

We're Baaack... [Dec. 19th, 2006|05:00 pm]

[Current Mood | thirsty]

Turns out Andrew needed to be there after all. We both had to sign the papers for his continuing treatments. They also gave me a bunch of sheets of paper stapled together called "OMH/MHR Individualized Service/Recovery Plan- Youth" that I need to peruse over.

Also, since, because of his earlier problems at school, they put him in a "contained" class, he doesn't have "mid-terms" like the kids in the other classes, so his "holiday" officially started when he was let out of school today. Mrs. Martin sent a letter home stating that. So, that means, he is now out of school until January 8th for the Xmas/New Years break.

Signing Papers [Dec. 19th, 2006|02:03 pm]

[Current Mood | sleepy]

When Andrew gets in from school, we've got to go over to "Cognitive Development Center" so I can sign some paperwork to continue his treatments there. They called late yesterday afternoon and wanted us to come in sometime today for that. He doesn't have an actual appointment again until January 9th. Not sure why they want him there for me signing papers... I could have already went over there and accomplished that by now. Didn't sleep well last night (yet again), and I'm starting to get very drowsy already.

Andrew's appointment went well, and rather swiftly compared to last time... we were out of there by about 2:15. Since the doctor got good reports of his behavior and grades at school, she "re-upped" his prescription for another month. He doesn't have to go back until January 9th. At Walgreens though, I was informed that technically they are only allowed to refill that medication every 28 days, and this was 27 days. The pharmacist went ahead and did the refill though, which I was glad of, otherwise, after the nearly 45 minute wait, I would have had to go back by there tomorrow to pick it up.

In other news, a random observation... local weather girl Ayna Sehgal has a big booty...

/likes big booties and he can not lie...
